Sanctimonious crusaders love to preach purity while hiding their own sins.
State Rep. Josh Schriver, R-Oxford, embodies this hypocrisy, railing against pornography as a "scourge" akin to heroin while his personal email allegedly tied him to Fling.com, a pornographic hook-up site promising users they could "find sex" and "get laid tonight."

Metro Times uncovered records linking Schriver’s AOL email, JTSchriver@aol.com, to a 2010 Fling.com account, complete with explicit interests like "fetish" and "groupsex."
Meanwhile, Schriver introduced a bill in September to ban all online pornography in Michigan, including transgender depictions, with penalties up to 25 years in prison.
Yet, cybersecurity data from SnusBase and LeakCheck.io tie his email and password to multiple breaches, including MySpace and Chegg, with an East Lansing IP address and his March 1992 birthdate, matching his Michigan State University days.
Fling.com, known for explicit photos, videos, and live sex webcams, confirmed a 2016 hack exposing millions of accounts. Schriver’s profile, last accessed September 11, 2010, aligns with his college years.
He denied the allegations, claiming, "This is fake. I’ve never heard of this website or accessed it."
Cybersecurity evidence contradicts him, showing consistent personal details across breaches.
Schriver’s culture-war rhetoric extends beyond porn.

He declared oral sex "a crime against God and the natural order," writing on Facebook, "The mouth and anus are not reproductive organs. The sin releases plagues of disease, promiscuity and perversion in our local communities. Repent, yield to Christ, be fruitful and multiply!"
On X, he demanded, "Make gay marriage illegal again."
He also opposed bills banning child marriage and closing Michigan’s marital rape loophole.
Last year, Schriver lost committee assignments after promoting the racist "Great Replacement" theory, alleging a plot to replace white Americans with immigrants.
His porn ban, far stricter than other states' age-verification laws, targets "a disconnection between biology and gender."

Metro Times verified the data through SnusBase and LeakCheck.io, confirming the email’s appearance in Fling.com’s 2016 breach, reported by Vice News.
The same credentials surfaced in other breaches tied to Schriver’s verified accounts.
