A gunman opened fire on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Dallas Wednesday, killing one and wounding two, in what the FBI calls a targeted act of violence fueled by anti-ICE ideology.
The shooter, found dead on a nearby rooftop from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, left behind ammunition etched with “ANTI-ICE,” signaling a chilling motive.

"This is an act of targeted violence," said Joe Rothrock, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Dallas Field Office, at a Wednesday press conference. "Early evidence from rounds near the suspected shooter contain messages that are anti-ICE in nature. This is just the most recent example of this type of attack."

FBI Director Kash Patel shared a stark image on X of an unspent shell casing inscribed with "ANTI ICE."
This morning just before 7am local time, an individual fired multiple rounds at a Dallas, Texas ICE facility, killing one, wounding several others, before taking his own life. FBI, DHS, ATF are on the ground with Dallas PD and state authorities.

"While the investigation is ongoing, an initial review of the evidence shows an ideological motive behind this attack. One of the unspent shell casings recovered was engraved with the phrase ‘ANTI ICE.’ More updates will be forthcoming," Patel wrote.

"These despicable, politically motivated attacks against law enforcement are not a one-off. We are only miles from Prarieland, Texas, where just two months ago an individual ambushed a separate ICE facility targeting their officers," the bureau chief continued. "It has to end and the FBI and our partners will lead these investigative efforts to see to it that those who target our law enforcement are pursued and brought to the fullest extent of justice."
Since President Trump took office in January 2025, the nation has been rocked by a string of shootings — nearly one terror attack per month — linked to far-left ideologies.
From attacks on federal facilities to ambushes targeting law enforcement to the cold-blooded murder of Charlie Kirk, the pattern is alarming.
Authorities have identified 29-year-old Joshua Jahn as the Dallas ICE facility shooter; he was later found nearby, dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.

The Prarieland, Texas, ICE facility attack in July 2025 left two officers wounded.
In April, a gunman espousing anti-government rhetoric killed three in a Seattle federal building.
Following Trump's inauguration, far-left extremists unleashed a barrage of terror attacks on Tesla dealerships and facilities nationwide, branding them as domestic terrorism against Elon Musk's former role in the administration's Department of Government Efficiency.
Each incident underscores a growing wave of ideologically driven violence.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz condemned the rhetoric fueling these attacks.
"Politicians demanding that ICE agents be doxed and calling for people to go after their families: stop," Cruz said at the press conference. "Violence has no place. It is wrong, and we should come together."
No law enforcement personnel were harmed in the Dallas attack, and the victims’ identities remain undisclosed.
The shooter’s identity is also withheld pending further investigation.
The blood on the streets of Dallas is another grim reminder of the poison seeping from the far-left’s unhinged rhetoric.

Month after month, we watch as radicals, indoctrinated by a toxic brew of anti-law enforcement hatred, take aim at those who protect our borders and uphold our laws.
This isn’t random—it’s a calculated assault on order, egged on by politicians and activists who demonize ICE and fan the flames of anarchy.
How many more must die before we call this what it is: domestic terrorism fueled by leftist ideology?
