The radical left’s unhinged hatred for anything Trump has reared its ugly head again.
In a typical display of "progressive" intolerance, a Florida woman decided a 72-year-old man’s MAGA hat was a crime worthy of assault.
The assailant, 33-year-old Florida woman Laura Elizabeth Garrett, was arrested in Largo on Tuesday and charged with battery on a person over 65, battery on a law enforcement officer, and obstructing or resisting an officer without violence, according to Pinellas County Jail records.

The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. at Northeast Park and Paw Place in Largo, near Clearwater.
Police reports state that Garrett confronted a 72-year-old man, Garry Gama, over his decision to wear a “Make America Great Again” hat.
The confrontation escalated into a verbal argument, during which Garrett allegedly struck Gama on the back of the head and shoulder with a can and poured its undisclosed contents over him, according to the arrest affidavit obtained by FOX 13 Tampa.

An independent witness corroborated Gama’s account, providing a sworn statement to police.
Garrett admitted to pouring the can’s contents on Gama but denied striking him, according to the arrest affidavit.
After beating the elderly man, Garrett attempted to flee by jumping a fence and walking away from the scene.
When Largo police located her, she initially refused to provide her name.
While being escorted to a patrol vehicle in handcuffs, Garrett resisted, dropping her full body weight to the ground and wrapping her legs around an officer, causing him to fall and graze his knee.
She continued kicking and pulling away until four officers subdued her with restraints, including a hobble.
Garrett was booked into Pinellas County Jail on Tuesday evening without bond but was released on Wednesday evening – proof the system coddles these radicals. The reason for her release remains unclear.
This is what happens when the left’s venomous rhetoric fuels violence against anyone bold enough to wear a MAGA hat.
The mainstream media will downplay this, but we see it for what it is: another assault on free speech and common decency.
