Antifa Mob Burns MAGA Hat, Rips Shirt from Pardoned J6 Defendant in Hollywood [WATCH]

In the heart of leftist Hollywood, where the red carpet rolls out for radicals and the blue line cowers, pardoned January 6 defendant Jon Mellis faced a savage Antifa ambush that exposed the raw two-tier justice rotting America's streets.

Mellis, 38, of Virginia, was retrieving a burger order outside the Tesla Diner on Saturday when a mob during an anti-Trump "No Kings" protest targeted him for his black MAGA hat and Proud Boys shirt.

Attackers ripped the shirt from his body and burned the hat as Los Angeles police arrived only after the assault concluded.

“I was assaulted many times by many different people. It was pretty crazy, because as I had my camera on, looking at my face like taking a selfie video, I decided to not engage with the protesters, and to just continue talking to my audience, because I’ve been making content to post on social media. So, I just talked to the camera and kept a positive demeanor. And that’s all I did, and it didn’t stop them from repeatedly insulting me and screaming crazy things at me,” he told The Gateway Pundit, describing the incident.

"Just for walking, just for standing near them — they became enraged like a pack of hyenas and started assaulting me, the MAGA hat triggering them," he said. “They ripped the Maga hat off, burned it. They assaulted me, shoved me, grabbed my shirt, ripped me around, ripped my shirt completely off. Pretty crazy, man. Cops came—a lot of cops showed up."

While January 6 defendants were bombarded by armed agents in predawn raids and sentenced to over a decade in prison for protesting on January 6, 2021, on the US Capitol grounds, Antifa activists have been awarded millions by activist judges for being jailed for rioting.

Mellis served 51 months in federal prison, including two years in solitary confinement, after his conviction for actions on Jan. 6, 2021, when he attempted to stop police from beating Rosanne Boyland.

He received a sentence in December 2023 that included $22,000 in restitution.

President Donald Trump issued a blanket pardon on Jan. 20, 2025.

Now living in West Hollywood, Mellis speaks at conservative events nationwide and works construction jobs while facing employment barriers due to his record.

"They got let out of prison, which is amazing, and God bless Donald Trump for doing that. But they need full pardons," Mellis said of 14 Proud Boys and Oath Keepers who received commutations. "Several of those guys are veterans who fought for this country and were injured, even an injured Purple Heart recipient. Without the pardon, they still have the felony on their records so they don’t receive their veteran benefits. That is a travesty of justice on its own."

"I do pick up odd jobs, construction, blue-collar stuff when I can. It’s hard to find that kind of work in Hollywood, as you know, as a J sixer. But I’ve also, with my activism, sort of just embraced it … they’re gonna label me something and not let me escape it. I’m gonna spread the word of what happened to us and the dangers of communism, because that’s what it really is, authoritarianism. They locked me up and they put me on solitary confinement, denied me visitation for years, treating me like a terrorist," he continued."It is hard to find work. I do what I can. I’m struggling to make ends meet, but when you donate to me, you’re giving me the ability to travel and speak to groups of people, whether it’s GOP committees, clubs, different events."

While Antifa burns symbols of patriotism unchecked and cashes in on lawsuits, this J6 warrior rebuilds from ashes—shirtless, unbowed, and armed only with truth in a city that silences dissent. The deep state’s selective outrage endures, but so does the fight.
