Self-proclaimed socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez faces sharp criticism after federal filings reveal her campaign committee spent nearly $50,000 in Puerto Rico on luxury hotels, high-end catering, and a $23,000 venue rental at the exact San Juan coliseum where she was filmed dancing in box seats at a Bad Bunny concert.

Campaign finance reports filed with the Federal Election Commission show Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for Congress disbursed $15,489.77 on lodging at two upscale San Juan properties between July 1 and Sept. 30, 2024.

Recipients included the adults-only Hotel Palacio Provincial and the historic Hotel El Convento.

The same filings list $10,743.13 for meals and catering services. An additional $23,000 went to the Coliseo de Puerto Rico — the venue known as "El Choli" — for "venue rental" on dates bracketing Bad Bunny’s sold-out 31-show residency.

Social media video from Aug. 10, 2024, captured Ocasio-Cortez and Rep. Nydia Velázquez, D-NY, dancing in premium seating while the Puerto Rican rapper performed.

Days earlier, Ocasio-Cortez had toured a San Juan housing project, publicly condemning gentrification on the island.

The expenditures occurred during the same period the New York Democrat co-headlined the "Fighting Oligarchy" tour with Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-VT.

Separate filings show her campaign also paid $5,000 to the boutique Hotel Vermont in Burlington and $3,000 to the trendy Arlo Williamsburg in New York.

Campaign manager Oliver Hidalgo-Wohlleben defended the spending in a statement to Fox News Digital.

"She is deeply proud of her investment in grassroots organizing and will continue to be active in advocating for both people on the island and the millions of Puerto Ricans in the diaspora," Hidalgo-Wohlleben said. "Rep. Ocasio-Cortez regularly travels to Puerto Rico to support local causes and host events that require both staff and security."

While AOC lectures Americans about sacrifice and equity, her campaign burns donor cash on five-star colonial charm and concert-arena skyboxes, all on the tab of the very working-class supporters she claims to champion.

Another day, another glaring exhibit of socialist glamour masquerading as solidarity.
