AOC Trashes Charlie Kirk’s Memory in Shameful House Rant [WATCH]

Chaos erupted in the House Friday as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, unleashed a scathing attack on slain right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk, mere moments after a divided vote to honor his life and legacy.

Passing 310-58, the resolution drew sharp rebuke from AOC, who labeled Kirk’s rhetoric "ignorant, uneducated," and accused him of seeking "to disenfranchise millions of Americans."

"We should be clear about who Charlie Kirk was; a man who believed that the Civil Rights Act that granted Black Americans the right to vote was a mistake," AOC declared from the House floor. "Who, after the violent attack on Paul Pelosi, claimed that 'some amazing patriot' should bail out his brutal assailant, and accused Jews of controlling 'not just the colleges, it's the nonprofits, the movies, it's Hollywood, it's all of it.'"

Condemning political violence, AOC contrasted the Kirk resolution with a unanimous 424-0 vote three months ago honoring Minnesota State House minority leader Melissa Hortman, killed in a political assassination.

The New York Democrat targeted the resolution’s language, particularly its praise of Kirk’s "legacy" and claims he "worked tirelessly to promote unity."

"Today's resolution only underscores the majority's recklessness by choosing to author this condemnation and honoring on a purely partisan basis, instead of uniting Congress in this tragedy," she said. "His rhetoric and beliefs were ignorant, uneducated, and sought to disenfranchise millions of Americans, far from the 'working tirelessly to promote unity' asserted by the majority in this resolution."

WATCH:

Support fractured along party lines, with 215 Republicans and 94 Democrats voting yes, while 58 Democrats opposed it, 38 voted present, and 22 abstained.

House Republicans crafted the resolution ahead of Kirk’s weekend memorial, a routine gesture that typically passes without fanfare.

Yet Democrats turned it into a spectacle, debating whether to vote as a bloc or allow dissent, despite House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries voting yes without whipping the vote.

Democrats objected to language calling Kirk "a model for young Americans" and praising his "respectful, civil discourse."

The party’s refusal to unite exposed hypocrisy, especially given their unanimous support for a prior resolution condemning political violence.

Prepare for the fallout, folks. AOC’s inflammatory words and the Democrats’ self-inflicted wound signal a party spiraling into chaos, exploiting a tragedy for political gain.

Let voters judge this disgraceful display as Kirk’s memorial looms this weekend.
