BREAKING: Deadly Explosion Devastates Military Facility

A catastrophic explosion obliterated Accurate Energetic Systems, a military explosives plant in Hickman County, Tennessee, on Friday morning, killing multiple people and leaving others unaccounted for, authorities confirmed.

David Stewart, a Hickman County Advanced EMT, told the Associated Press, "Emergency crews initially couldn’t enter the plant because of continuing detonations."

Helicopter footage from CBS affiliate WTVF-TV in Nashville revealed a wasteland of charred debris and mangled vehicles strewn across the facility’s parking lot.

The blast’s force rattled homes miles away.

"I thought the house had collapsed with me inside of it. I live very close to Accurate and realized about 30 seconds after I woke up that it had to have been that," Gentry Stover, a nearby resident, recounted to the Associated Press.

Accurate Energetic Systems specializes in developing, manufacturing, handling, and storing explosives for military, aerospace, and commercial demolition markets, according to its website.

"The company is cooperating with law enforcement," Sheriff Davis noted.

The facility, located on the border of Hickman and Humphreys Counties, approximately 60 miles southwest of Nashville, lies in the rural Bucksnort area.

The Hickman County Mayor’s Office initially reported no confirmed details on missing persons, injuries, or fatalities, but the sheriff’s office later verified the grim toll.
