Democrats Betray Their Own: 128 Join GOP to Slap Down Trump Impeachment Chaos

Another desperate attempt by the radical left to take down President Donald J. Trump just crashed and burned in spectacular fashion.

The House of Representatives, in a rare moment of sanity, slapped down a lone wolf progressive’s impeachment stunt with a bipartisan sledgehammer.

In a decisive bipartisan vote on Tuesday, the House of Representatives rejected a resolution to impeach President Donald Trump over his recent military strikes on Iran.

The chamber voted 344 to 79 to table the measure, introduced by Rep. Al Green, a Democrat from Texas, effectively halting any further consideration of impeachment.

The resolution accused the president of abusing his power by ordering strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities without congressional authorization, an action Green described as a violation of the Constitution’s separation of powers.

Green warns the president’s actions amounted to a dangerous overreach.

"I did not come to Congress to be a bystander while a president abuses power and devolves American democracy into authoritarianism with himself as an authoritarian president," the Democrat lawmaker said in a statement Tuesday morning.

Green continued, "President Trump’s unauthorized bombing of Iran constitutes a de facto declaration of war. No president has the right to drag this nation into war without the authorization of the people’s representatives."

The vote exposed deep divisions within the Democratic caucus. While 79 Democrats supported moving forward with the impeachment vote, 128 Democrats, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Minority Whip Katherine Clark, and Democratic Caucus Chairman Pete Aguilar, joined the GOP to table the measure.

House Speaker Mike Johnson defended the president’s actions, asserting his authority as commander-in-chief.

"Let me be clear and be as clear as possible," Johnson said. "The strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities were clearly within President Trump’s Article II powers as Commander in Chief. It shouldn’t even be in dispute."

Other voices in Congress weighed in on the controversy.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who voted to impeach Trump, argued that the strikes warranted the president's removal from office.

Trump rebuked Cortez in a Truth Social post Tuesday, noting she is "one of the 'dumbest' people in Congress."

"She better start worrying about her own Primary, before she thinks about beating our Great Palestinian Senator, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, whose career is definitely on very thin ice!" the president warned, dismissing the impeachment push and mocking its supporters.

Meanwhile, Rep. Thomas Massie, a Republican from Kentucky, criticized the strikes as unconstitutional and is collaborating with Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna on a war powers resolution to curb further U.S. military action in Iran.

House Minority Leader Jeffries emphasized a cautious approach, calling for the Trump administration to justify its actions to Congress.

"A tool that's on the table right now is to continue to demand that the administration present itself before the United States Congress and make the case to the American people as to why this extraordinary step has been taken," Jeffries said. "This is a dangerous moment that we're in, and we've got to get through what's in front of us."

The White House, in response to the vote, praised Trump’s leadership.

"President Trump was able to quickly accomplish what no other President has been able to achieve – thanks to his ‘peace through strength’ leadership, Iran’s nuclear program has been obliterated and a ceasefire has been agreed to," said White House assistant press secretary Taylor Rogers. "Eliminating the prospect of nuclear war is a non-partisan and unifying accomplishment that everyone should celebrate as a historic moment for United States, the Middle East, and the entire world."

Al Green has been intent on leading an effort to remove Trump from office for years, throwing impeachment resolutions like confetti, and every time, he gets sent back to the kiddie table.

The fact that 128 Democrats, including their top brass, told him to take a hike shows you just how toxic this impeachment nonsense is, even in their own party.

The left’s obsession with ousting Trump is a tired rerun, and the American people aren’t buying the ticket.

But you can bet the radical left will be back with another tantrum soon enough.
