Dems Dump on America: Shocking Poll Shows Half the Country Ashamed of Stars and Stripes

As we barrel toward the Fourth of July, the birthday of this great nation, a bombshell Gallup poll drops a gut-punch: nearly half of America is ashamed to wave the Stars and Stripes!

In the land of the free, the home of the brave, we’ve got a generation— Democrats, of course—who’d rather hide under a rock than celebrate the greatest country on Earth.

The new Gallup survey conducted from June 2 to June 19, 2025, reveals a troubling decline in national pride, with only 58% of U.S. adults saying they are “extremely” or “very” proud to be American.

The dwindling percentage of respondents who are proud to be American hit a record low, down nine percentage points from last year and five points below the previous low in 2020.

This survey, conducted before the U.S. military action in Iran on June 21, paints a stark picture of a nation divided, particularly along political and generational lines.

According to Gallup, “Only 36% of Democrats say they’re ‘extremely’ or ‘very’ proud to be American,” a sharp drop from 62% just a year ago.

This marks only the second time Democrats’ pride has fallen below the majority level, the first being 42% in 2020, during the final year of President Donald Trump’s first term.

Political independents are also at a historic low, with 53% expressing high pride, down seven points from last year.

Republicans, however, remain steadfast, with 92% reporting American pride in 2025, up from 85% in 2024.

The generational divide is equally striking.

Gallup reports, "From 2021 to 2025, less than half (41%) of adults who belong to Generation Z have been extremely or very proud to be Americans, compared with 58% of millennials."

Older generations fare better, with 71% of Generation X, 75% of Baby Boomers, and 83% of the Silent Generation expressing high pride.

But even these groups have seen declines since the early 2000s, driven largely by Democrats.

As Gallup’s senior editor Jeffrey Jones noted, "Each generation is less patriotic than the prior generation, and Gen Z is definitely much lower than anybody else."

The poll also highlights a broader trend. In 2001, 87% of Americans were “extremely” or “very” proud, a figure that spiked to 90% after the 9/11 attacks.

But since 2017, pride has plummeted, with Democrats and independents leading the decline.

"It’s not just a Trump story," Jones told Gallup. "Something else is going on, and I think it’s just younger generations coming in and not being as patriotic as older people.”

There you have it, folks—a nation unraveling at the seams, with Democrats and Gen Z leading the charge to ditch the pride that made America the shining city on the hill.

This isn’t just about politics; it’s about a cultural rot, a generation brainwashed into thinking the land of opportunity is something to be ashamed of.

As America prepares to celebrate Independence Day, this Gallup poll serves as a sobering reminder of a nation grappling with its identity.

The sharp decline in pride, driven by Democrats and younger generations, reflects deep political and cultural divides that have widened over the past 25 years.

Whether these trends will shift in the wake of recent events, including the U.S. military action in Iran, remains to be seen.

For now, the data underscores a challenging reality: the unity that once defined American pride is fraying, and the path to restoring it may be as complex as the nation itself.

If this poll doesn’t wake us up to fight for the soul of America, what will?

Time to take our country back, folks—happy Fourth, and let’s make America proud again.
