Epstein Files Name NYC Mayor Mamdani's Mother in 2009 Maxwell Party Email

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani's mother, acclaimed filmmaker Mira Nair, appears in newly released Jeffrey Epstein documents.

The mention stems from a 2009 email sent to Epstein by Hollywood publicist Peggy Siegal.

The email describes leaving a late-night afterparty at Ghislaine Maxwell's townhouse following an event tied to Nair's film "Amelia."

The gathering occurred months after Epstein's 2008 conviction for procuring a minor for prostitution.

Siegal wrote in the email, "Just left Ghislaine’s townhouse… after party for film. Bill Clinton and Jeff Bezos were there… director Mira Nair… etc."

The party reportedly extended past 5:00 a.m.

No evidence in the documents indicates Nair had any closer association with Epstein or participated in his criminal activities.

The mention is limited to this single reference in an email about a film-related social event attended by prominent figures.

Nair, an Oscar-nominated director known for works such as "Salaam Bombay!" and "Mississippi Masala," was previously married to photographer Mitch Epstein from 1981 to 1989.

She has been married to academic Mahmood Mamdani since 1991.

Zohran Mamdani, their son, won the New York City mayoral election in 2025 and took office in 2026.

The Epstein files, released by the Department of Justice, continue to reveal connections among elites in business, entertainment and politics.

Public interest remains high in unredacted details surrounding Epstein's network.

This revelation lands like a grenade in the heart of the progressive dream machine. While Mayor Mamdani rails against elite corruption from City Hall, his own family tree brushes against the very predator network that devoured innocence and shielded the powerful. The hypocrisy stinks worse than the Hudson on a hot day. New Yorkers deserve answers, not more elite afterparties.
