Leftist Podcaster Ethan Klein Gets Emotional Talking About Charlie Kirk's Death

comment-1 Created with Sketch Beta.

Leftist YouTuber and podcaster, Ethan Klein broke down on his show yesterday while he discussed the shooting of Charlie Kirk.

"I was brought to tears then because... I don't think I need to explain it anymore, i hope people take it seriously," said Klein as he held back tears.

Viewers were somewhat stunned by his emotional reaction. It's not often you see left-wing talking heads acting in good faith. You're far more likely to see leftists celebrating their opponents suffering than expressing sympathy.

"Anyone celebrating this should be deeply and forever shamed," Klein wrote. "I am scared for myself and my family [...] this is the type of political violence that very specific people have been encouraging."

Klein then went on to mention the constant stream of death threats he received from Twitch.

Ethan Klein is most likely referring to Hasan Piker who has been accused of encouraging political violence against the right-wing figures.

Journalist Taylor Lorenz has accused Ethan Klein of making the situation about himself.

"No shit I made it about myself," wrote Ethan on instagram in response, "I'm not waiting for someone to try and kill me."

Accompanying his response Ethan Klein attached a screenshot of Taylor Lorenz's YouTube videos titled "Somebody needs to do it."

"Somebody needs to do it" is a coded phrase that people use when they are calling for the death of another person, usually a public figure on the internet.
