What happens when a thin-skinned politician mistakes a six-minute hiccup for a mortal threat? You get Rep. Nancy Mace turning a Charleston airport curb into her personal stage for a profanity-drenched meltdown — all on the taxpayers’ dime.
An internal Charleston County Aviation Authority police investigation, dated Nov. 12, concluded that Mace transformed a "minor miscommunication" about her car color into a full-blown "spectacle" on Oct. 30.
The South Carolina Republican, now running for governor in 2026, arrived in a silver BMW instead of the white one police expected. A supervisor misread an email, passed along bad information, and the escort was six minutes late.
Mace responded by unleashing a torrent of f-bombs on TSA screeners and officers.
"I’m sick of your s–t," the GOP lawmaker snapped at police, according to the report.

Rep. Nancy Mace reportedly lit up Charleston airport cops like a Christmas tree, cussing out everyone in badge range because her escort wasn’t fast enough for her VIP fantasy hour.

She called officers "f–king idiots" and "f–king incompetent" while reminding everyone she was a "f–king representative."
One supervisory TSA officer told investigators Mace’s tone was "very nasty, very rude" and "very unbecoming if she’s representing us … in a political aspect."
Multiple employees were left "visibly upset" and "downtrodden."
Keep in mind many TSA workers were unpaid that week because of the government shutdown.
The report noted repeated problems: Mace "rarely" arrives on time, uses the encrypted app Signal that no other protected official uses, and her office suffers "high personnel turnover" that scrambles communication.
Officers have been summoned to the curb "countless" times only to find Mace nowhere in sight.
Her staff has never provided specifics on the alleged threats that justify the police escort.Mace’s office called the scathing report "a full exoneration."
"I absolutely, 100 percent confronted the airport employees who put my safety at risk," Mace said at a later news conference. "Did I drop an F-bomb? I hope I did. Did I call them incompetent? If I didn’t, they absolutely earned it."
She has threatened to sue both American Airlines and the airport.
Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., issued a rare rebuke, warning, "It is never acceptable to berate police officers, airport staff, and TSA agents who are simply doing their jobs, nor is it becoming of a Member of Congress to use such vulgar language when dealing with constituents."
Recent polling shows Mace’s gubernatorial bid slipping. She now trails in fourth place with 10.5 percent in the Republican primary.
