The FBI and Utah Department of Public Safety have zeroed in on a person of interest in the brazen assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, fatally shot Wednesday during an outdoor speech at Utah Valley University.

Authorities released two photos of the suspect Thursday, appealing to the public for help in identifying the individual linked to the cold-blooded murder that has sparked outrage across the nation.
At a press conference in Orem, Utah Department of Public Safety official Beau Mason detailed the suspect’s movements, tracked through meticulous investigative work.

“Starting at 11:52 a.m., the subject arrived near campus,” Mason said. “We followed his path through stairwells, up to the roof, and to the shooting location.”
After firing the fatal shot, the suspect allegedly leapt from the building, fleeing into a nearby neighborhood.
Investigators have scoured the area, collecting doorbell camera footage and witness accounts to piece together the escape.
The FBI, led by official Robert Bohls, confirmed they possess "good" surveillance footage of the killer, described as college-aged by Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin.

- FBI has "good" surveillance images of Charlie Kirk assassin but won't release them right now.
- Person was tracked jumping off the building and fleeing into a neighborhood.
- Bolt-action rifle found in wooded area.
- Assassin appears "college aged".
While authorities have withheld the video for now, they expressed confidence in their leads.
"We’re working through technologies to identify this individual," Bohls stated, adding that the public may be enlisted if current efforts falter.
Physical evidence bolsters the case.
A bolt-action rifle, believed to be the murder weapon, was recovered in a wooded area where the suspect fled.
Investigators also secured a palm print, forearm prints, and a footwear impression, providing critical clues to the killer’s identity.

The FBI urged anyone with information to call 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit digital tips at fbi.gov/UtahValleyShooting.

The investigation, however, has drawn sharp criticism for its missteps.
Within hours of the shooting, the FBI announced the arrest of a suspect, only to release them after determining they were not involved.
Later Wednesday, a second suspect was detained and subsequently let go, with authorities admitting neither was the gunman.
The murderer remains at large, fueling accusations of incompetence.
Conservative leaders and social media voices have slammed the FBI, with some calling the botched arrests a distraction from the real hunt.
Investigators have scoured nearby neighborhoods, reviewing doorbell cameras and interviewing witnesses.
Despite the setbacks, officials expressed confidence in their evidence, though the public’s trust wanes.

Kirk’s death has left Turning Point USA reeling but resolute, with allies vowing to carry his torch.
And so, America waits, breathless, as the shadow of a killer looms large. But let’s be clear: this was no random act.
Charlie Kirk was a warrior for truth, a voice for the voiceless, gunned down by a coward who couldn’t face him in the arena of ideas.
This is a wake-up call. The left’s rhetoric of hate has consequences—real, bloody consequences.
We demand justice, not just for Charlie, but for every American who dares to speak freely.
The manhunt is on, and we’re watching. The truth will out, and those who cheer this violence will answer for it.
Stay vigilant, patriots—this fight is far from over.
