The Trump administration is reportedly slated to classify transgender individuals as violent extremists following the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Two national security officials confirmed the move, which responds to a fatal shooting by alleged perpetrator Tyler Robinson, a biological male "transitioning" genders.
FBI Director Kash Patel testified before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday.
"We're looking at the entire spider web for any of these attacks,” Patel stated, specifically addressing shootings by trans individuals.
Attorney General Pam Bondi addressed the Kirk murder directly, signifying views within Trump’s circle that a "cult of gender ideology" fuels radical left violence.
"They are putting this crazy ideology in our schools,” Bondi declared.
President Donald Trump condemned "transgender insanity” two days before Kirk’s death.
In a subsequent interview, Trump blamed "the radicals on the left," adding, "They want transgender for everyone."
A senior intelligence official criticized the approach.
"They are cynically targeting trans people because the shooter’s lover was trans," the official said. "The administration has convinced itself that the Charlie Kirk murder exposes some dark conspiracy."
Under discussion, the FBI would categorize transgender suspects within the "Nihilistic Violent Extremists" framework, replacing Biden-era labels for right-wing groups or January 6 defendants.
Officials favor euphemisms like "gender ideology extremism" to avoid direct naming.
Trump’s Day One executive order defined sex as an "immutable biological reality"” of male and female. Additional orders barred transgender individuals from women’s sports, restricted minors’ gender-affirming care as "chemical and surgical mutilation," halted "X" passport markers, banned transgender women from U.S. sports travel, reinstated military service restrictions, and explored firearm denials citing transgenderism as "mental illness."
The Kirk killing is prompting the administration to double down on measures to prevent another tragedy executed by a body dysphoric assailant.
Donald Trump Jr. captured the sentiment: “What is the greatest domestic terror threat facing America: ANTIFA or TRANTIFA?”

Prosecutors center transgender identity in Robinson’s indictment, referencing "mass shootings by transgender individuals," "trans-rights oriented," and "biological male who was transitioning genders."
Trump on Wednesday designated Antifa a "MAJOR TERRORIST ORGANIZATION," with an executive order pending.
Patel vowed scrutiny of Robinson’s network beyond his 20-person Discord group.
In 2023, Audrey Hale, identifying as male, killed six at Nashville’s Covenant School .
In 2022, .Anderson Lee Aldrich, nonbinary, murdered five at Colorado Springs’ Club Q.
Alec McKinney, transgender, wounded eight at Denver’s STEM School in 2019.
Snochia Moseley, transgender, killed three at Aberdeen’s Rite Aid in 2018.
In August 2024, Robert "Robin" Westman, transgender, fatally shot two children at Minneapolis’ Annunciation Catholic School, injuring 17 others.
The real extremists brew in boardrooms peddling mutilation to kids, not the tormented souls they break.
Time to torch the rainbow tyranny before it consumes us all.
