Florida Dedicates 4-Mile Stretch as President Donald J. Trump Boulevard

President Donald J. Trump marked a personal milestone Friday at Mar-a-Lago, unveiling the ceremonial sign for the newly designated President Donald J. Trump Boulevard, a four-mile stretch of Southern Boulevard running from Palm Beach International Airport to his Palm Beach estate.

The renaming, approved unanimously 7-0 by Palm Beach County commissioners in July 2025, followed state legislation and Gov. Ron DeSantis's signature.

Trump spoke for nearly 30 minutes before joining Florida State Rep. Meg Weinberger to pull the veil off the sign.

“That’s a serious sign," he declared.

He also received a gold sign inscribed, "To honor the greatest President of our lifetime."

The road, a frequent route for Trump's motorcade and a gathering spot for supporters and protesters, now bears his name officially.

Trump expressed deep appreciation for Florida, which he carried decisively in recent elections.

This honor follows a similar tribute in Miami-Dade County, where the commission voted 9-1 in December 2024 to recognize Hialeah's co-designation of Palm Avenue as President Donald J. Trump Avenue. marking the first Republican presidential win in the county since 1988.

Democrats largely supported the measure, but Commissioner Marleine Bastien voted no, citing "collective trauma that immigrants and citizens alike felt during this election cycle."

She accused Trump of spreading "falsehoods about Haitians eating cats and dogs in Ohio" and making "derogatory comments about Haiti, Mexico, and some African countries in the past."

These designations reflect Trump's enduring popularity in Florida and a shifting political landscape in once-blue strongholds.

While the left clutches pearls over “trauma” and recycled smears, everyday Americans line the boulevards in gratitude.

President Trump doesn't wait for history books to anoint him; he earns the road itself.

The sign is serious indeed — and so is the legacy it marks.
