He Wore a MAGA Hat to Honor Kirk — Now He’s Suspended

The culture war ignites anew after the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, with petty beef erupting nationwide.

Just as the left appeared to pause its "nazi" and "racist" smears against Trump supporters, a shocking school incident proves wearing a MAGA hat remains a public hazard.

A California high school student faces suspension following a heated dispute over a "Make America Great Again" hat worn to honor the slain TPUSA.

Zach Hornstein, a Laguna Beach High School student, donned the hat on September 11, the day after Kirk’s murder, to show solidarity, Fox 11 reports.

Trouble brewed when a female classmate allegedly yanked the hat off his head and tossed it into a girls’ restroom trash can, unleashing profanity against President Donald Trump.

"I made a joke towards them and said, 'If you don't like it here, Canada's open borders, feel free to go,'" Hornstein recounted.

However, a teacher reported a different version to administrators, claiming Hornstein told the girls to "go back to where they came from," which he denies.

"They're saying I told a group of girls to go back to where they came from, which I never said that," Hornstein insisted. "When they called in the girl that was involved, she literally told them that I never said that."

Janet Semenova, Hornstein’s mother, decries the school’s response as a hypocrisy targeting her son’s political beliefs.

"I think it's a double standard," Semenova said. "I think kids who have certain political beliefs are held to a different standard than kids who have other political beliefs."

She expressed disappointment, adding, "I don't think either of these students should have been suspended, and we said that in our meeting. We said, 'You're punishing these students and you're creating an environment of deeper hostility instead of creating an environment of deeper dialogue.'"

Laguna Beach Unified School District declined to comment on the discipline case but issued a statement: "When disputes arise on campus, schools must evaluate the behavior involved. California law defines the grounds for suspension, and we are reviewing the facts in this situation through that process to ensure it is handled fairly and consistently."

Despite a meeting with the principal Tuesday, the suspension stands, prompting the family to consider escalating the matter to the school board.

Suspicion lingers that many leftists, unaware of Kirk until his assassination, now follow cues from unseen puppet masters to stoke hatred and celebrate his demise.

This petty schoolyard clash signals a broader battle ahead. Stay vigilant as the left’s hypocrisy festers in our classrooms.
