In the grim underbelly of Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center — the same hellhole where Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged suicide raised eyebrows— Sean "Diddy" Combs narrowly escaped a blade to his throat.

Charlucci Finney, Diddy’s friend of over three decades, dropped a bombshell to the Daily Mail: "He woke up with a knife to his throat."

The makeshift shiv, wielded by an inmate, was a chilling message, not a murder attempt.

"If this guy had wanted to harm him, Sean would have been harmed," Finney said. "It would only take a second to cut his throat with a weapon and kill him. It was probably a way to say: 'Next time you ain’t gonna be so lucky.'"

Finney, fiercely loyal, calls the 55-year-old music mogul "unbreakable," a Harlem-bred survivor who won’t bend to intimidation.

"I don’t know whether he fought him off or the guards came," he added, leaving the details murky but the threat crystal clear.

Diddy’s been locked up since his September 2024 arrest on sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution charges.

In July 2025, he was convicted on two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution, landing a 50-month sentence, a $500,000 fine, and mandatory mental health and substance abuse programs.

Comb's legal team, fighting for his release, argued he’s endured enough in "one of the most notorious jails in America," where he’s been on constant suicide watch and once talked down another shiv-wielding inmate who accused him of stealing his chair.

The rapper’s lawyers are pushing for a transfer to the cushier FCI Fort Dix, citing the Metropolitan Detention Center’s rampant violence, drug abuse, and understaffing.

Finney, sleepless with worry, backs the move.

Diddy (left) and Finney (kneeling) have been friends for more than three decades.

"Sean has kept a lot of this stuff to himself because he doesn’t want to worry his family. But if you’re in jail and you’ve been charged with anything sexual, it’s not a good place to be," he said. "I’m confident he’s gonna do whatever it takes to make sure he’s still Sean Combs when he comes out."

He insists Diddy’s no ordinary inmate.

“We’re talking about Diddy,” he continued, a father of seven targeted by "clout-chasing" prisoners seeking "prison justice."

Diddy’s legal battles are far from over. His team recently filed an appeal, and rumors swirled that President Trump was mulling a commutation.

The White House shot that down, with a spokesperson contending, "There is zero truth to the TMZ report, which we would’ve gladly explained had they reached out before running their fake news."

Trump himself, in a Newsmax interview, distanced himself, noting, "I was very friendly with him… but when I ran for office, he was very hostile."

Combs’ ex, Casandra "Cassie" Ventura, painted a darker picture in a letter to the court, detailing a "horrific decade" of "abuse, violence, forced sex, and degradation."

"Pregnant during her testimony, she wrote, "I remain very much afraid of what he is capable of and the malice he undoubtedly harbors towards me for having the bravery to tell the truth."
