The hammer of justice finally swings back at the queen of the witch hunt, New York Attorney General Letitia James — indicted, arraigned, and exposed as a mortgage fraudster who lied to snag sweetheart loan terms while tormenting President Trump for years.
James, 67, pleaded not guilty Friday in Norfolk federal court to one count of bank fraud and one count of making false statements to a financial institution.
The charges stem from her August 17, 2020, purchase of a three-bedroom Norfolk home on Peronne Avenue with a $109,600 loan, secured via a "second home rider" falsely claiming she would occupy it as the sole borrower.
Prosecutors say James never lived there — instead turning it into a rental for grandniece Nakia Thompson, pocketing nearly $19,000 in savings from the bogus designation.
Ethics filings confirm the property as an "investment," with $1,000-$5,000 in rental income since 2020, though neighbors contend they've never seen James visit.
Arraigned before U.S. District Judge Jamar Walker, the beaming James answered "Yes" when asked if she understood her rights.
Her attorney, Democratic fixer Abbe Lowell, entered the plea: "Not guilty, judge, to both counts."
Released on personal recognizance, James faces trial January 26, 2026.
Prosecutor Roger Keller, shipped in from Missouri, signaled up to 10 witnesses.
The indictment came October 9 under interim U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan, Trump's ex-defense lawyer, after the prior U.S. Attorney was axed for refusing the case.
Defense motions blast Halligan's appointment as illegal and the probe as "vindictive."
Lowell flagged a Lawfare article on Halligan's media contacts disputing a New York Times report that Thompson paid no rent and James visited yearly.
Keller shot back that if prosecutors need a media log, so does James, who's yapped endlessly in interviews and posts.
Walker held off ruling. James's next hearing in Norfolk, Virginia is slated December 5.
Outside the courthouse, amid chants of "We Stand With Tish!" and "No Fear!", James mangled MLK, declaring, "I believe that justice will rain down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream."
She vowed no deterrence, proclaiming:
This is not about me. This is about all of us and about a justice system which has been weaponized. … This justice system which has been used as a tool of revenge — and a weapon against those who simply did their jobs and stood up for the rule of law. But my faith is strong! I have this belief in the justice system and the rule of law. And I have a belief in America and all of its individuals who have stood with me – not only in New York but all across this nation. I have heard from just about every jurisdiction in this nation who have said, 'Stand up and be tall. Never ever bow down or back down or break or bend.'

James won a $355 million civil fraud judgment against Trump last year, slashed on appeal, but her office fights to revive the ballooned $500 million-plus tab.
Hours earlier, Thompson faced a protective order after allegedly threatening to "punch" a school official in the "f–king face" over her kid's discipline—the same day as James's indictment.
Thompson's also charged with profane phone threats.
This karmic backlash hits like sweet revenge after James's relentless crusade nearly bankrupted President Trump and his empire.
