Here we go again: another far-left radical openly coaching illegal immigrants on how to dodge federal law enforcement, all while President Trump's administration ramps up efforts to deport the worst criminal aliens threatening our communities.
New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, the self-described democratic socialist who stunned the political world by winning November's election, posted a video Sunday instructing residents—explicitly including undocumented immigrants—on ways to resist U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
The video followed a recent ICE operation in Manhattan's Chinatown that drew protesters.
"As mayor, I’ll protect the rights of every single New Yorker. And that includes the more than 3 million immigrants who call this city their home. But we can all stand up to ICE if you know your rights," Mamdani said.
He continued, "ICE cannot enter into private spaces like your home, school, or private area of your workplace without a judicial warrant signed by a judge."

"You have the right to say, ‘I do not consent to entry,’ and the right to keep your door closed," he added."ICE is legally allowed to lie to you. But you have the right to remain silent. If you are being detained, you may always ask, ‘Am I free to go?’ repeatedly until they answer you," Mamdani said. "You are legally allowed to film ICE, as long as you do not interfere with an arrest."
Mamdani also advised remaining calm, not running, not resisting arrest, and not impeding investigations.
He emphasized, "New Yorkers have a constitutional right to protest, and when I’m mayor, we will protect that right."
Mamdani, who met with President Trump last month, has reaffirmed New York City's sanctuary policies, saying city government cooperates with federal authorities only on about 170 serious crimes.
"My focus as the next mayor of this city is going to be to protect immigrants who call this city their home," he said.
Critics blasted the video as aiding lawbreakers.
Of New York City's 3 million immigrants, at least 412,000 are undocumented, according to the latest available data.
As the Trump administration targets dangerous illegal aliens, New York's incoming mayor is broadcasting a playbook on resistance, setting the stage for a major showdown between city hall and federal immigration enforcement.
