Dallas police arrested three illegal immigrants after viral videos captured reckless gunfire on a crowded Texas freeway bridge and a separate road-rage attack that endangered children.

Anthony Acevedo, 20, and Jose Alarcon-Sanchez, 18, both of Grand Prairie, fired weapons from the Margaret McDermott Bridge over Interstate 30 on New Year's Eve.

Detectives recovered more than 100 shell casings from the scene west of downtown Dallas.

Alarcon-Sanchez faced a prior arrest by Grand Prairie police for a similar firearms offense early on New Year's Day.

Both men face Class A misdemeanor charges of discharging a firearm in certain municipalities.

Acevedo posted bond and was released. Alarcon-Sanchez remains in custody on an immigration hold.

The investigation linked a third suspect, Anderson Derce Lara, 25, to a November road-rage incident.

Police said Derce Lara fired multiple rounds into a vehicle occupied by three adults and three children, the youngest age 3.

Authorities executed a search warrant with ATF assistance and recovered several firearms, including rifles matching those in the New Year's Eve videos.

Derce Lara faces six counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a first-degree felony. He is held on an immigration hold.

"If you put lives at risk in Dallas, we will identify you, investigate thoroughly, and hold you accountable," Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux said. "These individuals did not live in Dallas, but they came to Dallas to create this criminal activity. If you put lives at risk in Dallas, we will investigate thoroughly and hold you accountable."
