Carlos Nava, a 49-year-old Mexican national and illegal immigrant, faces a litany of reinstated charges for violent sexual assaults spanning nearly two decades, linked to as many as 17 victims.
Deported eight times since 2002, Nava repeatedly re-entered the U.S. illegally, despite prior arrests for battery and domestic violence, with his last deportation in 2020, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Nava withdrew from a plea deal on Sept. 25, initially entered July 30, which had reduced his charges to one felony count of sexual assault with a deadly weapon, dropping eight others.
The plea acknowledged prosecutors’ evidence without admitting guilt.
His withdrawal, on what was to be his sentencing day, prompted Clark County prosecutors to reinstate the additional charges.
Clark County Deputy District Attorney Julia Barker told the court, “It’s really hard for someone to maintain ‘I didn’t do this’ when his sperm is in places that indicate he probably did,” citing DNA evidence.
Barker noted Nava may be connected to 17 sexual assaults, with six identified victims and 11 others, including two minors, still unknown.
Las Vegas police uncovered 17 pairs of underwear, “folded, kept in a backpack, which also had latex gloves in it and tied up with a rubber band,” Barker added.
Court records show Nava faced charges dating back to 2010.
In 2022, police sought additional victims after spotting Nava in a white Ford truck linked to an assault.

He remains in custody at Clark County Detention Center, with a new trial date pending after his Oct. 9 court appearance.
This case exposes a grotesque failure of border security and justice.
While illegal immigrants like Nava, accused of heinous crimes, slip through the system with a slap on the wrist, patriots, veterans, and Trump supporters face relentless persecution for minor infractions.
The scales of justice tip heavily against those who love this country, while predators exploit open borders, leaving victims in their wake.
