Sen. Ted Cruz appeared to stumble over his words in Tuesday's committee hearing, urging his Senate colleagues to "stop attacking pedophiles."
In his speech, Cruz was urging for bipartisan collaboration on things like murder and rape but then he slipped in something that made all of us (even leftists) say, "HUH?"

Here's the full context of what he said.
"Sen. Booker also said we should have bipartisan agreement. I think that's a great idea—we should have bipartisan agreement," Cruz said. "How about we all come together and say, 'Let’s stop murders.' How about we all come together and say, 'Let’s stop rape.' How about we all come together and say 'Let’s stop attacking pedophiles."
What was cruz trying to say? No idea. Did he mean to say "Supporting pedophiles" or "stop pedophiles?" Who knows.
The Left is having a field day with this one. It's funny to see a politician say something that goes against something that is almost universally agreed on (pedophiles are bad).
