Tucker Carlson, the unapologetic firebrand ousted from Fox News, ignited a firestorm at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service, accused of weaving antisemitic tropes into a tribute for the slain conservative icon.
Carloson's words, delivered to a packed State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday, have drawn fierce condemnation from Jewish groups, Israeli media, and even some conservative allies, who claim he evoked medieval "blood libel" conspiracies.

His speech, steeped in his signature provocative flair, drew a parallel between Kirk’s murder and the crucifixion of Jesus.
"So it’s about 2,000 years ago in Jerusalem, and Jesus shows up and he starts talking about the people in power, and he starts doing the worst thing that you can do, which is telling the truth about people, and they hate it, and they just go bonkers," he told the crowd. "They hate it, and they become obsessed with making him stop: 'This guy’s got to stop talking. We’ve got to shut this guy up.'
Tucker Carlson is facing backlash from Israeli supporters, who are labeling him an “antisemite” after he described the Pharisees as “sitting around eating hummus” while plotting Christ’s crucifixion.

"And I can just sort of picture the scene in a lamp-lit room with a bunch of guys sitting around eating hummus, thinking about — 'What do we do about this guy telling the truth about us? We must make him stop talking.' And there’s always one guy with the bright idea, and I can just hear him say.
"'I’ve got an idea. Why don’t we just kill him? That’ll shut him up, that’ll fix the problem,'" Carlson said, laughing. "It doesn’t work that way. It doesn’t work that way."
Jewish leaders and commentators erupted.
Eylon Levy, former Israeli government spokesman, blasted Carlson on X: "Complete with a laugh like a cartoon villain, Tucker Carlson uses Charlie Kirk’s funeral to spread an antisemitic blood libel."
Mark Dubowitz, CEO of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, fumed, "Tucker Carlson used the memorial for Charlie Kirk — a passionate friend of Israel & the Jewish people — to spread antisemitic blood libels."
David Friedman, Trump’s former ambassador to Israel, declared, "Antisemitic innuendo and cackling like a chicken are never appropriate, but even less so at a memorial service for a great man."
Critics seized on Carlson’s mention of hummus — an anachronistic jab implying modern Israel — as evidence of intent.
Palestinian outlet Quds News Network amplified the narrative, posting, "Tucker Carlson suggests Israeli involvement in Charlie Kirk’s death during TPUSA’s memorial for its late founder."
Yet, some MAGA allies, like Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, praised Carlson’s speech.
Representatives for Carlson remained silent amid the uproar.
The memorial, attended by heavyweights like President Trump and Vice President JD Vance, also featured Jewish speakers Stephen Miller and Laura Loomer.
The outrage machine hums, eager to slap labels on dissenters while ignoring the broader question: why does truth-telling so often provoke such venom?
Carlson’s words, whether reckless or calculated, expose the raw nerve of a polarized nation, where even a memorial becomes a battleground for narrative control.
