White House Reviews Biden’s Autopen in Massive Document Dive

A sprawling investigation is rocking Washington, as the White House digs into Joe Biden’s use of an autopen to sign critical executive orders, pardons, and other official documents during his tenure, exposing a presidency run not by the man himself, but by unelected staffers wielding unchecked power.

This probe, spearheaded by the White House Counsel’s Office, is peeling back layers of secrecy surrounding Biden’s mental state and decision-making, raising questions that strike at the heart of democratic accountability.

The probe, led by the White House Counsel’s Office in coordination with the Justice Department, is examining over 27,000 records provided by the National Archives and Records Administration, with expectations to review up to one million documents, Fox News reported Tuesday.

The focus: whether Biden’s autopen use reflects a broader pattern of delegating executive authority to unelected aides, possibly due to concerns about his mental fitness.

"We’re not yet ready to discuss discoveries," a senior administration official told Fox , "but this is a priority to bring transparency to the American people about Biden’s presidency and health."

The investigation is scrutinizing whether safeguards existed to regulate autopen use.

"What did the former president direct, versus what he did not?” another official asked. "The only time a legitimate use of the autopen should happen is if the president said he wanted something done, or if he was asked for his approval."

Biden used the autopen extensively, including to sign preemptive pardons for family members, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Gen. Mark Milley, and members of the House committee investigating the January 6, 2021, Capitol riots.

Notably, he manually signed only one pardon—for his son, Hunter Biden—despite months of public assurances he would not.

In his final weeks, Biden granted clemency to over 1,500 individuals, described by his administration as the largest single-day clemency act in U.S. history.

"The question is, did Biden surrender his Article II executive authorities to unelected staffers that the American people don’t know, and to a machine that holds the same legal authority as his right hand, because he wasn’t capable of doing the job?" an official told Fox News Digital. "Did unelected staffers, radical staffers, use the power of this machine to radically transform America?"

In a New York Times interview, Biden defended his autopen use, stating, "I made every decision."

Yet, he admitted he "did not individually approve each name" for categorical pardons affecting large groups, claiming, "We’re talking about a whole lot of people."

The Times reported Biden’s process involved aides drafting "blurbs" of his oral approvals, which were then sent to staff, including former White House chief of staff Jeff Zients and staff secretary Stefanie Feldman, who authorized autopen signatures.

Folks, this is exactly what we’ve been saying for years – despite what the administration, Democrats in tandem with the mainstream media told the American public, it was resoundingly clear Joe Biden wasn’t running the show. His radical, unelected staffers were, using a machine to rubber-stamp their agenda while Biden was, let’s be honest, not all there.

This autopen scandal is a disgrace, a betrayal of the American people who thought they were electing a president, not a puppet for leftist bureaucrats.

The House Oversight Committee, led by Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., is conducting a parallel investigation, issuing subpoenas to Biden aides, including former deputy chief of staff Annie Tomasini and chief of staff Anthony Bernal.

Tomasini, a longtime Biden aide, is set to be deposed Friday after initially agreeing to a voluntary interview but later backing out. Bernal, also subpoenaed, will testify Wednesday. Both are represented by attorney Jonathan Su.

Biden’s former physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, invoked the Fifth Amendment during his deposition, refusing to answer questions like, "Were you ever told to lie about the president’s health?" and "Did you ever believe President Biden was unfit to execute his duties?"

The White House investigation remains separate from Congress’s probe.

"Lawyers are working diligently to get answers,” an official said. "It is important for the American people to know to what extent the media played a cover-up on Biden’s well-being, and which signatures were at his direction and which were at the direction of his staff."

The official added, "They elected a president—not a staff."

President Trump, who does not use an autopen for official business, issued a June memo directing Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate Biden’s autopen use and its potential link to cognitive decline.

Trump’s executive orders are signed publicly and in person, a White House official confirmed.

The autopen investigation is a massive undertaking, with potentially millions of documents still to be reviewed.

As the White House and Congress press for answers, the stakes couldn’t be higher: Was Joe Biden truly in charge, or was his presidency a facade, driven by aides and a machine? The American people are watching, and they expect the truth.
