Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced today that the FDA has officially revoked the emergency use authorizations (EUAs) for COVID-19 vaccines and effectively ended all federal vaccine mandates.
In a lengthy post on X, Kennedy said the move fulfills four major promises he made upon taking office as head of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), claiming that “all four have now been accomplished.”
I promised 4 things:

1. to end covid vaccine mandates.
2. to keep vaccines available to people who want them, especially the vulnerable.
3. to demand placebo-controlled trials from companies.
4. to end the emergency.
In a series of FDA actions today we accomplished…
Kennedy wrote:
“In a series of FDA actions today, we accomplished all four goals. The emergency use authorizations for COVID vaccines — once used to justify broad mandates during the Biden administration — are now rescinded.”
Kennedy also thanked Dr. Marty Makary for his role in shaping the new FDA policies.
While many on the right praised the decision, some within the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement voiced frustration, arguing that Kennedy hasn’t gone far enough.
Dr. Mary Talley Bowden responded bluntly to Kennedy’s announcement, writing:
“NOT ENOUGH.”
Despite this criticism, the overall response from Kennedy’s base has been largely positive, framing today’s action as a major policy shift.
CDC Updates Vaccine Guidelines
One of the more controversial points of criticism had been the CDC’s childhood vaccine schedule, which previously recommended three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine for children under two years old.
However, over the past couple of months, the updated vaccine chart has gone from recommending three doses to now directing users to "see notes” regarding COVID-specific recommendations. We are essentially one step away from the vaccine's complete removal from the childhood schedule.

While some MAHA supporters believe Kennedy isn’t moving as quickly as they’d like, today’s decision marks another step toward fulfilling his campaign promises and advancing the MAHA agenda.
Despite critims from MAHA supporters who feel like RFK Jr. is moving as fast as they would like, he is taking steps every day to further the MAHA agenda and his campaign promises.
