Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo announced that the state will eliminate all vaccine mandates, calling them “wrong,” “immoral,” and “dripping with disdain and slavery.”

He said the Florida Department of Health will work closely with Governor Ron DeSantis to implement the changes.

Ladapo clarified that Florida is not banning vaccines but shifting the focus toward medical freedom and informed choice.

“You want vaccines? God bless you. You don’t want vaccines? God bless you,” he said, emphasizing that decisions about personal and childhood vaccinations should be left to individuals and families.

Currently, there's eight childhood vaccines required to attend public and private schools in Florida, but Ladapo’s announcement signals these requirements could soon be rolled back or eliminated entirely.
