Judeo-Christian Violence: Lebanon Says Israel Killed 4 U.S. Citizens, Including 3 Children

Israel’s latest act of aggression shatters the illusion of peace in Lebanon, leaving blood and betrayal in its wake.

An Israeli drone strike in Bint Jbeil on Sunday killed five, including a father and three of his children, exposing the hollow promises of a November 2024 cease-fire.

The attack, which mutilated civilian bodies, coincided with a U.S. envoy’s visit, underscoring the international community’s failure to hold Israel accountable.

Israeli forces launched two drone strikes around 5 p.m., targeting a motorcycle and a car carrying a family of six in Bint Jbeil, the district’s capital.

The motorcycle driver died instantly, while the car strike killed the father and three children, leaving only the mother and one daughter alive.

Israel’s post-truce death toll in Lebanon at approximately 308, L’Orient Today reports.

Bint Jbeil’s municipal council president, Mohammad Bazzi, described the scene: "The victims’ bodies had been mutilated and scattered."

The strike occurred as U.S. Deputy Special Envoy Morgan Ortagus attended a cease-fire monitoring committee meeting in Naqoura, a body tasked with addressing truce violations but criticized for its inaction.

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri condemned the attack: "Five martyrs, under the gaze of the committee responsible for monitoring the cease-fire, and this, right after its meeting in Naqoura, in the presence of the U.S. envoy Ortagus."

Berri claimed the family held American citizenship, an allegation disputed by a U.S. State Department spokesperson:

"While the situation is fluid, so far, indications are that the five killed were not US citizens."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on the same day, boasted of peace prospects.

"Our victories against Hezbollah opened a window to unimaginable possibilities, that’s the possibility of peace with our neighbors to the north," Netanyahu said.

The Israeli military later expressed regret, stating, "The IDF regrets any harm to uninvolved individuals and operates to minimize harm as much as possible. The incident is under review."

Lebanese leaders erupted in condemnation. President Joseph Aoun, speaking from the U.N. General Assembly in New York, declared: "While we are in New York discussing issues of peace and human rights, Israel continues its ongoing violations of international resolutions, and in particular the cease-fire agreement."

"There can be no peace built on the blood of our children,” he added.

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam called the strike a "heinous crime against civilians" and an "attempt to intimidate our compatriots returning to their villages in the South."

Hezbollah MP Hassan Fadlallah labeled it an "obvious crime against civilians, particularly children in Bint Jbeil," accusing the monitoring committee of being a "false witness."

Earlier, Israeli soldiers blew up a house in Ramieh and shelled Kfar Shuba, further violating the truce.

The stench of hypocrisy hangs heavy.

While Netanyahu preaches peace and U.S. envoys monitor a toothless cease-fire, Israel’s drones rain death on Lebanese children.

The international community’s silence enables this carnage, leaving Lebanon to mourn its shattered families and broken trust.
