The Iranian conflict heightens in tension as President Trump warns Iran of US military intervention following reports of deadly force being used against protesters amid widespread economic unrest.
Trump said the US was prepared to intervene if protesters were killed, framing the warning as support for Iranian people.
In a recent Truth Social Trump said, "If Iran shots and violently kills peaceful protesters, which is their custom, the United States of America will come to their rescue. We are locked and loaded and ready to go. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President."

Iran quickly addressed the warning as a "red line," accusing Washington of trying to weaponize internal unrest to determine the state.
Iranian officials caution that any US involvement would result in severe consequences. The Speaker of The Iranian Parliament stated US bases and forces in the region are "legitimate targets" if Washington adventures.

This a bold move by Washington to protect the Iranian people considering we still have upwards of hundreds of thousands of SIAs within US borders that are a clear threat to the American people. Why would the US choose to send resources to protect another nations people while failing to do the same at home?
Let's begin with breaking down the legitimate threat Iran poses to the U.S.

A recent X post by podcaster, Matt Tardio, frames Iran as essential proxy hub linking Russia and Chinese pressure against the US.
On the Russian front, Iran supplies weapons to Russia in exchange for military technology and political backing, allowing both to operate despite western sanctions.
With China, Iran supplies discounted oil that bypasses sanctions, generating revenue, and giving Beijing energy, security water, reducing the impact of U.S. economic leverage.
Further, as we are also seeing in Venezuela, these cooperations enable BRICS to further amplify its threat to U.S. hegemony and the dollar by providing the economic backbone, alternate trade routes, currencies, and financial system that allow these foreign adversaries to function beyond the reach of western sanctions.
Essentially, Iran functions as a low cost engine of attrition, amplifying Russian in Chinese power in the US tied down across multiple fronts.
These indicators seem to clearly point to Iran as a threat to the US.
The question still remains, why would we intervene on behalf of the Iranian people while Islamic terror cells inside the US remain largely untouched?
The ICE campaign in 2025 was spent mostly identifying and deporting South American gang member and Latin American illegals. However, we have a plethora of reports indicating that individuals tied with the IRGC and Hezbollah have infiltrated our border in droves with little success or even effort in identifying these negatiois actors.
If not incompetency or lack of resources, then who benefits from allowing these terror cells to form? It's almost impossible to ignore the growing sentiment and concern from a fraction of Americans who believe any US intervention in Iran is primarily to the benefit of Israel. It is also impossible to ignore that a homeland attack could change those sentiments.
